Artist’s note:
A field worker stands beneath an enormous bundle of harvested material, holding a long rake while a recognition overlay locks onto his face. The labour is already too much before the system arrives, which is precisely why the system arrives without apology. The identifier sits under the face like a label on a file, reducing the body to something catalogued while it is still carrying the weight. The sky behind him has the cheerful colouring of a postcard. Nobody told the burden.
