Artist’s note:
Three figures in bathing clothes stand together on a patterned beach ground, lifting a red goat head above the centre of the group. The pose has the structure of celebration and the content of something that should probably be discussed later. Baphomet works in that gap, where ritual looks like play until the object starts taking itself seriously. The central arm reaches straight up, making the head feel less held than presented. Someone has organised a ceremony. Nobody has brought paperwork.
